Position Purpose:
Centene has various roles in the Actuarial arena such as; Associate Actuary Associate Actuary - Medicaid Senior Actuarial Analyst Manager - Actuary Value Based Payment Manager - Actuarial Services - Medicaid Director - Actuarial Services MedicaidThese roles can be located in various Centene locations.
Our Actuary roles range from 2 years experience with a minimum ASA (Society of Actuaries) credential to 5-7 years experience with a minimum of a ASA (Society of Actuaries) credential.
In some Actuary roles, Medicare/Medicaid experience is required and will be noted on the specific job posting.
Roles and Responsbilities:
Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes.
Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes Assist with developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information Analyze and evaluate required premium rates Assess cash reserves and liabilities enable payment of future benefits Develop and run data reports Assist with determining the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits Participate in merger and acquisition analysisEducation/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

years of actuarial experience and 3 passed actuarial exams or 3
years of actuarial experience and 2 passed actuarial exams.
(or any combination of experience and exams that equals 5 or more).
License/Certification:

years of actuarial experience and 3 passed actuarial exams or 3
years of actuarial experience and 2 passed actuarial exams.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
