Precision Assembler

Assemble camera, accessories and lens mechanics.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assemble cameras, accessories and other mechanical assemblies.
Disassemble and reassemble lens mechanics.
Modify existing parts as needed.
Repair and service a wide range of mechanical equipment.
Finish and / or fit machine parts per design.
Use tooling and fixtures as required.
Clean machine daily.
Maintain a neat and organized workstation as per health and safety standards.
Other tasks and assignments as required by manager.
Skills/Experience Required:
Comprehensive knowledge of standard tool room measuring equipment and techniques.
Intermediate knowledge of standard machine operation, use, tooling and safety.
Knowledge of common materials used in light manufacturing.
Experience assembling and / or repairing high precision mechanisms.
Ability to follow of Panavision's health and safety requirements as it relates to machinery operations.
Understand how to achieve quality in precision assemblies.
Effective communication skills.
Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain flexible towards changes in scheduled duties on a daily basis.
Ability to work on own initiative without constant supervision.
Ability to read and understand mechanical designs.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues or errors.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
