ROLES AND
Responsibilities:
Follow appropriate policies and procedures to respond to client issues regarding insurance benefits, provider contract, eligibility, claims, etc.
Research and analyze data to address customer service issues
Provide information and recommend solutions
Thoroughly document inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis
Develop and maintain positive customer relations and coordinate with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
Provide external and internal customers with requested information
Receive and place follow-up calls/e-mails to answer client questions that are non-routine
Assess and respond to customer needs and suggest alternative company services
Participate in customer service workflow projects
Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
2
years in a customer service environment, preferably in the healthcare or industry field
Hold current insurance producers license (Life, Health, Property or Casualty in the state of California
Excellent understanding of the application of benefit contracts, pricing, processing, policies, and procedures
Solid knowledge of government regulations, coordination of benefits, and healthcare terminology
Strong communication, customer service, research and organizational skills
